POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for a variety of office and field tasks. Provide clerical support including typing, maintaining filing systems; and coordinating daily interoffice activities. Will learn to use our computer programs for scheduling and other related duties. Help with scheduling staff. Interacting with staff and clients in person and over the phone. Assisting in the field with staff introductions, care plan review and ,when needed, covering shifts with clients. Need to pass a background check, have a negative drug test, have a good driving record, auto insurance and reliable transportation. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Position is part time possibly leading to full time. Must be able to work independently with integrity. Must have high customer service skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a business setting, health care preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
- Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
- Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to type and familiarity with basic computer programs.
- Certified CNA/STNA or LPN
- Must pass a physical and provide documentation
- Negative drug test result (randomly done)
- Clean background check
- Negative TB test (annually)
- CPR/AED certified preferred
- Clean driving record
- Own and operate a reliable vehicle
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Provides clerical support to agency management and supervisory personnel.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, documents, and medical Plans of Care.
- Prepares updates to policies and procedures as directed.
- Prepares data/reports as needed.
- Learns to proficiently use our computer programs/sites.
- Makes and takes professional phone calls. Texts as needed with staff.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies.
- Establishes agency standards and appropriate reorder points.
- Monitors supply needs and assures availability of supplies needed.
- Assists with hiring process for direct care staff.
- Assists in reviewing applications
- Provides initial telephone screening for applicants and sets up interviews if appropriate
- Requests references, TB's, BCI's on applicants. Follows up with staff until all documents are received.
- Assists in orientation and training of new staff.
- Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards.
- Accepts responsibility in accordance with the role of the Office Support Staff.
- Assures compliance with applicable laws.
- Attends meetings and educational programs as required.
- Participates in the Agency quality improvement activities.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Communicates necessary information to Supervisor and management team to ensure coordination of services and activities.
- Attends staff meetings
- Contacts clients, referral sources, families, and other disciplines as directed to assure care coordination.
- Assists with filing of documentation. Reports missing or incomplete documentation.
- Participates and communicates with office staff to assure that tasks are accomplished.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
- Assists with scheduling of staff and with back-up plan to fill shifts for call offs.
- Handle calls and texts during office hours and after hours as needed to ensure proper coverage is being provided for clients.
- Updates computer program with staffing attendance and behavior details.
- Finds staffing to fill shifts and call offs.
- Personally assists in staffing when no other option is available to provide proper care to the client.
