About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Elder Support Aide to join our growing team in San Diego, CA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by providing personalized, in-home care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being. If you have a heart for helping others, we'd love to have you on board!
Responsibilities:
- Assist elderly clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and social well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Support safe mobility and transfers, including assistance with walking and wheelchair use
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying, and errands
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
- Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans
- Transport clients to appointments and community activities as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in elder care, home health, or a caregiver role preferred
- Genuine compassion, patience, and respect for the elderly population
- Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and supporting client mobility
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and reference verification

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
