Job Description:
We are urgently hiring an experienced caregiver for a client in Kalamazoo, MI. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience providing compassionate care for individuals with mobility needs, and will be able to assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility assistance, and medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance, including lifting and transferring the client safely.
- Monitor and document the client’s health status and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer prescribed medications and assist with medical appointments.
- Ensure safe and hygienic living conditions for the client.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory Experience: Proven experience as a caregiver, particularly with individuals who are high weight or have mobility impairments.
- Strong physical ability to provide assistance to a client, including safe lifting and transferring techniques.
- Compassionate, reliable, and respectful towards clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to the client’s needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
