Job Summary:
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide immediate in-home care for clients in the Hartford, MI area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, and providing companionship, ensuring their safety and comfort. This position requires a reliable individual who is ready to make a difference in the lives of individuals with limited mobility, chronic health conditions, or those recovering from illness or surgery.
Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist clients with daily hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.

Mobility Assistance: Safely help clients with transfers, positioning, and walking, including the use of mobility aids (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs) or lift equipment if needed.

Companionship & Emotional Support: Engage with clients in meaningful conversation, activities, and provide emotional support to enhance their well-being.

Meal Preparation & Feeding: Prepare nutritious meals that align with dietary restrictions and preferences, and assist with feeding when required.

Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time as directed by their care plan.

Household Management: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, laundry, dusting, and keeping the client’s living space clean and organized.

Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to family members or healthcare professionals.

Transportation Assistance: Accompany clients to medical appointments, assist with running errands, or take them to social activities while ensuring safe travel.

Emergency Response: Act quickly and appropriately in case of emergencies, contacting healthcare providers, family members, or emergency services as needed.
Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred but not required. Training can be provided.

Compassion & Patience: Must demonstrate a strong desire to care for others, with patience and empathy in supporting clients' physical and emotional needs.

Physical Strength: Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients with limited mobility.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, their families, and medical professionals.

Reliability & Flexibility: Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to travel to client homes.

CPR/First Aid Certification: Preferred but not required. Certification can be provided for candidates needing training.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and assist clients, sometimes up to 150 pounds with assistance.
