Job Title: Urgent Need Caregiver
Location: Bridgman, MI
Job Summary:
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide immediate, high-quality care to clients in the Bridgman area. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with their daily activities, personal care, and ensure their comfort and safety. This is a critical role for someone who is dedicated to improving the quality of life for others, especially those with limited mobility or medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and assist with mental stimulation activities.
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adherence to dietary restrictions if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical and emotional health to family members or healthcare providers.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with basic health monitoring, such as blood pressure checks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or a similar role is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Knowledge of personal care techniques, including safe transfers and basic medical assistance.
- Ability to lift and assist individuals with limited mobility.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Must be able to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move clients who may weigh up to 150 pounds with assistance.
